Software Engineer, Test

The role

At FDJ United we build distributed systems that handle millions of transactions each day. Our development teams deliver new features on a daily basis, doing thousands of releases every year.

The Test Navigation team drive quality and efficiency across teams by leading high-risk testing, building shared tooling, ensuring environment stability, and providing training and strategic support.

Continuously improving our customer experience and time to market are essential for the company's success. Test automation is a strong factor in this work, and we are now looking for another team player for our test automation team with experience in test automation.

For automation testing, we are using frameworks and tools like Cypress, WebdriverIO, Jenkins & AppliTools. 

You will be a member of the Test Navigation Team. The role involves a lot of interaction and support within the PAM organization, and you will be working together with highly skilled professionals from all over the world, in a very interactive and fast-moving environment. Also, there might be some infrequent travel associated with the role between our various office locations.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, upgrade and audit our test automation suites

• Help teams to build automated test suites in line with FDJ United's testing strategy and following test automation guidelines

• Provide test automation support to development teams when requested

• Evaluate and drive adoption of new tools

• Promote best practices for tests implementation

• Run trainings

• Mentoring

• Improve viability and visibility in the overall test reporting

Your experience

• You have a wide experience in the area of testing and have a good understanding of testing and its different parts

• You have experience in test automation (both testing and development mind sets needed, also development experience is important)

• You understand business requirements and can transform them into tests and test activities

• You help set the technical expectations on the whole team by both producing and setting high expectations on the team delivery

• Agile development 

• Experience with web and/or native apps test automation with JavaScript and tools like Cypress or Appium

• Experience with Jenkins

• Continuous Delivery (good understanding of the concept) 

An advantage

• WebDriver.io and Appium

• REST APIs testing frameworks 

• Experience in UI testing with XCUITest and/or Espresso

• Visual Testing (AppliTools)

• Databases (general technical usage)
