Football Sport Trader

The role

This role will sit in our in Sportsbook Trading and Risk department, and be responsible for the in play/pre match Football trading.
Our ideal candidate will have very good analytical background, with strong mathematical skills and knowledge of a P&L.
They must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate to different stakeholders at all levels across the business.
We are looking for someone with great enthusiasm and drive, that has a keen interest in helping to drive the business forward and enhance our existing product.

What you will do

• Be a key player within our trading team on our trading platform.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely provision of events, markets and odds for our proprietary trading platform.
• Responsibility for liabilities and positions across the entire Football betting product (trading).
• Responsible for monitoring / responding to activity or information that could impact the profitability of our betting product.
• Monitor appropriate competitor markets and take action as required.
• Assist Risk Management with the identification of a customer's / group of customers' risk profile.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the internal Sportsbook team - Strategy, Marketing, Promotional and Operational requirements/ issues.
• Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.
• Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
• Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
• Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
• Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

Your experience

• Demonstrable knowledge of the methods/ mathematics that apply to Football trading
• Knowledge of sports betting with an understanding and particular interest in football
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to timelines/deadlines
• Understanding of customer profiling and behavioral trends
• Can work to a good standard with all Microsoft office tools, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Industry experience
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
• Shift patterns are variable, to include days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and may also include early, evening and night working hours
